Featured Artist
Lilly Allen
Blevins, Arkansas
Lilly Allen of Blevins in northeast Hempstead County has an innate talent for writing and art that belies her age — 13. She not only completed the first 9x10-foot free-hand painted sidewalk panel in Hope’s ARTpark (at the corner of Division and Walnut Street in Hope) in 2017, a painting she titled “Gertrude the Owl,” she also added a second painting “Blue Wolf” in 2018. An accomplished writer as well as artist, Lilly has won numerous writing and art awards.
Encouraged by her parents (Timothy and Cheryl Allen) and extended family, as well as staff and volunteers for the Arts Council, remember the name “Lilly Allen”; you will hear it again in the years to come.
